The big idea in this video is that we could care a lot more about the people that where affected by war, or are in pain or are suffering. You can tell this from lots of the lyrics and the pictures of people being mistreated or people that are scared.
ReplyDeleteThe big idea from this video is that we need to respect the people who fought for us and we need to care more about the people in Africa who don't have enough money for food, water, and shelter. Also, I can tell this is the big idea because every picture shows someone helping someone else. I think we need to care more about others.
ReplyDeleteThe big idea of this video is that we need to work together to accomplish bigger tasks and solve problems such as poverty, natural disasters and war. In the song Nickelback repeats over and over again the words when we stand together. I noticed that in the video every time Nickelback says when we stand together the clip shows more than one person helping out and working together. In the middle of the song Nickelback says, that all we serve are empty words that always taste the same. This means that we do not keep our promises and the end result is always the same, we never move forward. I think that when people are not working together the problem gets worse and worse. Just like a heartbeat, when the heartbeat is slow and uneven, it means that eventually it will stop and not beat at all. When a heartbeat is beating at an even pace it has a good momentum and it is able to accomplish many things, just like when people are working in sync they can accomplish almost anything.
ReplyDeleteThe big idea of the song 'WE MUST STAND TOGETHER' by Nickelback is that we must stand together and stand against war, poverty, starving countries, and other terrible things that are happening in our world, today. In the song, one part is they say that we can feed the entire world with what we throw away as waste, but all we serve are empty words that always tatse the same. This basically means that we dont try to help, and that we never really KEEP our promises and that it always ends with countries like Africa still starving. I think that the words in this song are strong, and I believe them. When we work together, we can accomplish almost anything, we just have to try. -AIDAN
ReplyDeleteI think the big idea of the video is that lots of people need help and when he sings "We must stand together" and "That's when we all win" I think it means that if we help people together we can make a difference. There is a lot of pictures of people helping each other. When he says "They tell us everything's alright. We just go along" It means that something is wrong when people tell us it's fine it just means that we are too consumed in our own problems to help with something bigger. And I think something else really important in the song is when it says "One more depending on a prayer" It means people are waiting for help, and depending on us with all the power to help. I think the big idea is people always say "Let's help the less fortunate" Pretty much all they do is give out empty words without a meaning, and most of all they're giving out false hope to people who need help when they say that. But most of all I think the big idea is that if we stand together and actually do something to help we can help people who really need our help.

I have seen a lot of comments saying, "we can accomplish ALMOST anything." That is wrong because we can accomplish anything if we put our mind to it. Even if it takes several people, we can still do ANYTHING!! :D
ReplyDeleteThe big idea in this song is that 'we all have to stand together' to stop starvation and help people in need. In the song it shows pictures of little kids wearing army uniforms. It is showing us how terrible it is for them and how 'we just look away'. It's saying that we can all stand together and we can help those people. Give them food and water and a home. Give them the things they need to survive. I think we should stand up for these people, give them what they need. We should take the children out of wars and leave the fighting to the soliders that are adults. Some of these children are younger than us! None of us would want to be in a war, niether would they! We should stand together to help these children that are no different then us. Give them a chance to live.

The big idea in this video is that people are suffering in other countries that are in the middle of a war and people in first world countries don't give a hoot about that girl who lost her arm in a gunfight that took place in her town, the song says 'We Must Stand Together' and I agree. people in those countries are witnessing death caused by wars, hunger, thirst and we just say “I’m glad I’m here and not there.” and we just sit down and do nothing about it when the people who do something risks there lives to help other people: complete strangers and ask nothing in return. ReplyDeleteI think the big idea is that so many people out there are starving, or being in a war having their familys lost and most people don't care they just go around saying "I'm happy I'm not her" even people with tons of money don't usually spend it on sending food to the hungry they usually spend it on the newest iphone. The song is saying that people should stand together with other people. So many good people risk their lives to help complete strangers like police men, or fire fighters, or soliders in the war they don't do it for money they do it for the people.
ReplyDeleteI think that the big idea of this song is that we have to stay together, and that we are all people, and need each other's help. Also , there are wars going on, and we aren't doing anything about it. There are kids in the wars, and we know that isn't fair, but we still don't do anything about it. There are also people staving somewhere in the world, and we aren't doing anything about that ether, even though we wast so much food that we could feed them with our scraps.

ReplyDeleteI think that the big idea in this music video is that people are starving everywhere people are are homeless and we do nothing about it; it's saying that when we all work together we can help those in need and every time he say " we must stand together" "there's no giving in" and " hand in nand forever" there is a picture of people helping each other. I think that every if every person paid two dollars we caould raise so much money for the poor the hungry or the homeless. this video has inspired me too possibly become a firefighter.
ReplyDeleteThe big idea of this song is that we need to stand (work) together to accomplish great things and help other people. It states in the song: “we could feed a starving world with what we through away” and then “but all we serve are empty words, that always taste the same”. The first part means that other people are starving in other poor countries even if they didn’t do anything wrong, and we could easily feed them with all of our food that we take for granted and with what we throw away. The empty words part means that people say that they are going to help out others, but then they really don’t.

I think the big idea for the video is that we all need to help others in need even if they are wounded or sick or they don't like us. I also think that the song is saying that we should help the starving and hungry people. I think every time the singer said " hand in hand forever" he meant that we should be nice and help the people that need it when they need the help.I think the biggest idea is that we aren't doing anything for the people and countries that are starving, have lost their family, are homeless, and are at war. The song says that we should get up and do something for the people that are in need of our help. Saving someones life could be just donating to children in need or donating to the people in the war.-beth
